Some of these might’ve already come out, but are still on my radar because I haven’t started them yet. And some of these I might have to restart because it’s been such a long time since I’ve seen the first season and I’ve forgotten it all.
Boku no Hero Season 2 (Spring 2017)
We all know I literally just finished this and I’m currently working on the freaking review, which better be done by the time this comes out or I’ll be sick to my stomach. I heard someone threw around the idea that this season would be a tournament arc. I love tournament arcs. It allows for so much character development to happen for a lot of characters at once, which this anime needs since we still have a whole classroom of people we need to get to know. Plus almost everyone is super disorganized, weak and has no faith in their abilities.
Ajin Season 2 (Fall 2016)
I can tell all sorts of crap is about to go down this season, especially considering where it left off with season 1. I’m trying my hardest not to go into a lot of detail for those who haven’t yet watched. I’ll probably have to do a quick recap, of course, just to make sure I didn’t forget anything important. I highly recommend this show. So far Netflix is having a great track record with its “original” anime series. If you don’t have a Netflix account, you can borrow mine (jk, I don’t even pay for the Netflix I use). I know you all have your ways of watching anime, so go do that.
Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen (Winter 2017)
This is the one I’m going to have to go back and watch from the very beginning, in its anime form as well as the manga form. I have no idea where I am in this series, I don’t even remember the last thing that I read. I remember the basic premise and that’s about it. I’ll probably restart the series next month and play catch up all the way until this latest season. I really loved this series, and started watching the anime the moment it came out, but then I fell off the wagon and I don’t really remember why. I was in school, which means it probably had something to do with passing classes, like I took a break to focus on my studies… Yeah, let’s go with that.
Fuuka (Winter 2017)
Thankfully, this is just the first season, because I also started the manga for this series and loved it. And I don’t remember where I left off (I’m sure you’re starting to see a horrible pattern). If I watch this, it might spark my memory as to where I was and maybe I won’t have to restart the manga. I’ll probably restart it anyway because it was a fun read.
This is not an exhaustive list! I couldn’t possibly know about everything good that’s coming out soon, so I’m up for any suggestions (please leave suggestions; I need them). I’ll make another post like this again when we know more about upcoming series, or if I find more anime to add to my “planning to watch” list.
